Tarashcha district was the inner district of Kiev governorate located between Skvira, Vasilkov, Lipovets, Zvenigorodka districts.


In the early 19th century there were six Shtetls in this district: Tarashcha, Koshevato, Tetiev, Stavishche, Pyatigory, Zhivotov.
