Byshev in April 1834

Byshev Name Index Census 1834

This is the census of Byshev, Kiev district conducted on April 30, 1834. It was signed by Morduch Kamarovskiy and Shulim(?) Iglinskiy. There were 237 males and 211 females recorded in this census.

In addition to names listed below, there were two individuals Kievskiy and Kolodkin (or Kolodnik?) recorded as being originally from Kiev but now recorded into Byshev community.

Note: last names ending with the suffix -vich could refer to the father's name instead. Unfortunately in this text these follow father's names and no visual distinction is available to indicate whether these are last names or father's second names. As an examlple: Wulf Abramovich Moshkovich could refer either to Wulf Moshkovich son of Abram or Wulf son of Abram-Moshko. It is likely that no single rule applies here and these examples should be viewed on case by case basis.
