Bobruysk district
Rural Census
Census
1816
Some time following the census of 1816, government became aware of the fact that many Jews live in the villages outside of the shtetls where they were registered.
Thus on September 30 of 1820 (the year is unclear), Minsk governor forwarded an order #24527 to Bobruysk Lower Civil Court (Нижний Земский Суд) citing
Senate's request to enumerate Jews living in the villages of Bobruysk district along with their families and recording the original communities (Kagals) they belong to.
This first portion contains no last names. Hopefully combination of age and the naming patterns will be enough for the researchers whose families come from one of these villages to recognize their ancestors.
