Kamenka, Chigirin district in 1818 census

Kamenka Name Index Census 1818

This census took place at Kamenka kagal, district of Chigirin on June 24, 1818. There were 336 males and 134 females listed.

Note: The writers have chosen to write last names in the old-style where family names which are typically written with suffix -iy were recorded as -oy. I changed these to more modern version for readability and to allow people to find these records. Somewhere in the middle of the list the writer (perhaps a different one) tried to use more modern form but ended up using -yy [-ый] instead of -iy. Perhaps writer was not very literate in Russian. First case of mistake is traced to transition from [whom vs is], i.e. ...-skogo to -skoy eventually to -skyy (while it should be pronounced as -skiy).

This series is related to Chigirin district.
